Actually, I gave the average salary, considering his existing time on the job. Starting salary lists at $26k. So he is probably closer to $30k

The average salary for a law enforcement officer in Carter County is $32k. The highest salary they can hit is $37k.

The larger an agency is equates to more chances for advancement and promotion. It also usually means a higher starting salary, and since Hopkins has several years experience his starting salary will probably be higher than a non-experienced recruit.

Yeah I don't see it as a big step up, my guess they are all trying to spin it a bit, and that he's leaving to turn down the heat.
