If a person votes for a President and his running mate, It comes with the realization that if something happens to the president, the vice president will continue his term. Allowing Bucky to continue Williams term would have been a fair decision.
Trust me Proud, people don't like your stupid remarks. If the Commissioner's think that they helped their party by appointing Buchanas, just wait till next election! They screwed the Republican party for a long time.
I am a Republican. My huge family, brother's, sister, cousins, parents are Republicans, I have a lot of friends that are also Republicans.
Basically every single person in my circle refuses to vote for Buchanas and his Durham mate, Ricky, Perry, Roark or Rose. As a matter of fact, we are in 100% agreement on voting for Democrat the next election.
Republicans usually stand for conservative values. This group of 5 people are not conservative. They are self-serving liars that have done nothing but hurt Ashe. From appointing Buchanas who ran off all of the local officers and/or replaced them with outsider's to Roark taking another county employee position for himself. This group of Republicans have done irreversible harm to the moral of this community.
My circle of family and friends are not alone in this discussion. In Church and around the community, you'll see a large group of people who switch sides in the next election. Several hundred to maybe more than a thousand. Either way, This pathetic group of self serving politicians have got to go...

No you pick and choose what to be offended by. I’m offended he ran so he could get his 10 years in so he could get the Sheriff’s supplement.. and bailed on the voters after he made that 2 yrs he needed.

He did not break the trust of people for money. He didn’t break the trust of people at all. He retired like many people so when the time comes. So what if he was in an elected office? It doesn’t matter!

Military, Bucky was not on the ballot last election. The people voted for Williams trusting he would serve his entire 4 year term. He broke that trust for $$$$.
(And stop ‘text shouting’ it only makes you look desperate and you bad grammar more apparent)

The Liberals in this County are,
Perry Rose Roark Buchanan
Unlike Trump who wants to bring jobs back into the county.
Buchanan has made it clear that he wants to give jobs away to outsiders.
Just as Perry, Rose and Roark done when they gave Buchanan the job that should have went to Bucky.
Why should it went to Bucky? Because the voters voted for Williams/Bucky.
But like most liberals that aren't in touch with reality, they feel that they know whats best and the citizens and their vote don't matter...
Can't wait to watch them fall from grace at the next election. It will be better than watching Clinton whining about her loss....

Hmm Trump's executive order doesn't do much really. The first part is a reinterpretation of what the law says. They believe that Obama incorrectly gave subsidies to the insurance companies.
It stops the federal government from reimbursing insurance companies for the subsidies that lowered deductibles and out of pocket for those buying silver plans. Trump and his lawyers interpret that the government was never authorized to give these. The insurance companies were already betting that Trump or Congress would do this, that's why they requested large increases for next year for premiums.
The premium subsidies are not affected in any way by Trump's Executive order that's a common misconception that even the media in some cases is spreading.
While the ACA doesn't at least as they are interpreting it now require the Federal Government to reimburse insurance companies for lowering out of pocket and deductibles for low income people the law does require that the insurance companies lower the out of pocket and deductibles.
It's not the poor that will lose their health care. It's the middle class who will not be able to afford premiums.
I'm almost certain this will be challenged in the courts. However there is the danger that the courts find that Trump and his lawyers are correct that the ACA does not appropriate funds for such. However the court could also find that the ACA does.
Now on the other part of his executive order, he is legislating not interpreting law. In this he wants to open up cross state commerce by allowing one to buy health insurance over state borders. He wants also to avoid the mandated coverage areas required by the ACA. He believes that this will lower health care costs. However this also undermines the ACA. The problem here is that there is no interpretation of the ACA that would lead one to believe this is legal. As such he's legislating and the courts will strike this down if it's challenged. Now no one really challenged any of Obama's legislating but Trump is far more disliked by the deep state so I'd expect filings probably as early as next week.
Now Congress still hasn't even passed a budget. However I would write a letter to your Representative and to your Senators asking them to introduce a bill that ensures the federal subsidies continue. I mean they've already shown they aren't going to repeal it so if they aren't going to repeal it, it's time to fix it. If you like Trump's ideas about cross state policies etc, then include that in your request as well, just keep in mind that those also restore lifetime limits, which would be detrimental for many.

They have could fixed the aca but the repubs didn't want to so with that being said millions of people will lose there health care. Those people will now go to the er and stick the hospital with the bill and you think your ins is high now, just wait about a year then tell me how much your insurance is. Repubs have control of congress now and he still can't get anything passed except by ex order and you can forget tax reform now. He needs to quit calling people names, twitter and blaming everyone else for his big mouth. We pay for his golf trips to his own property. Also he said Obama needed stay off the golf course when he was president and trump has played more golf this year than Obama did in 8 years. He worse than Nixon! trump is a crook and he might bankrup the country like he all of his casinos. What is he hiding in his taxes? 3 marriages, cheated on 1 with 2, cheated on 2 with 3, and may be cheating on 3 with furture number 4! I guess that is what you wanted. Repubs own him now and good luck with that.

I agree, sks! I haven’t had insurance in almost 3 years. It is not worth paying the high premium on something that doesn’t cover anything. Luckily I’ve not been sick and haven’t needed a doctor. The $695 fine was much cheaper than the cheapest plan for me at $450 a month. When we first got private pay insurance we were paying $600 a month for 3. The next year it went up to $1500.

You're an insult to the survivors of WWII and all the men that fought and died to defeat the axis powers. To make a comparison of any US president to Hitler or Mousilini shows how little you know about the history of WWII

It was reminiscent of JFK's speech some decades ago. The two sides are even more polarized today, and only the bureaucrats are benefiting. The unelected bureaucrats who go from one office to the next.
To truly drain the swamp you'd have to fire everyone in the DC work pool and hire outside the DC work pool.
I've suggested before that all employees of a Senator should be residents of the state they Represent. Representatives should have to hire from within their districts their staffs.
However there is no way the democrats are going to break ranks, just like the GOP did not for years. Resistance is easy, governance not so much.
