1. Took over the fire department, FAILED.
2. Pulled Firemen off of fires to question them which resulted in more fire damage, SUCCESS.
3. Attempted to insert himself into the schools report card, FAILED.
4. Arrested school children, SUCCESS.
5. Take over the Hospital Police, FAILED.
6. Kept all of his appointments with WKSK, FAILED.
7. Kept his appointment at a coffee shop, SUCCESS.
8. Caught a dangerous suspect the same day, FAILED.
9. Allowed a dangerous suspect to run around for 2 days - shot someone else, SUCCESS.
10. Provide public records to Charlotte-based tv show, FAILED.
11. Touted his 34 year law enforcement record while refusing to give timeline, SUCCESS.
12. Reinstated the DARE program, FAILED.
13. No Dare program may result in children to drugs, SUCCESS.
14. Refused to follow proper school protocols, SUCCESS.
15. Caused Ashe County residents to lose their job, SUCCESS.

43. 38 Ashe County Deputy's, Jailers, Office Employees have lost their job...44. Some Ashe County Employees were demoted...
45. Out of Town employees got promoted.
46. He investigates 3 County Employees over a FOI request.
47. He Lied About Investigating 3 County Employees for the FOI request.
48. Buchanan sends Rick Clayton to Texas for Hazmat training at Tax Payer Expense.
49. Buchanan is under criminal investigation by the SBI.
50. Buchanan hires a Watauga Criminal Attorney to represent him on his criminal Investigation.
51. Buchanan doesn't get County Approval before hiring out of town Attorney using Ashe Tax $$$
52. Buchanan lied citizens on WKSK about hiring local citizens. Instead, hired out of town officers.
53. Buchanan tells one trained female employee that she was fired because her services were no longer needed but then tells everyone at the commissioners meeting that she was fired for insubordination.
54. Buchanan replaced the female jailer with another female jailer who was inexperienced & may have slept with the former jail administrator to get hired.
55. Buchanan arrested the newly hired female jailer for having sex with inmates in a month.
56. Buchanan has prayer vigil on Ashe County Gov. property. Described as a Wolf in Sheep's clothing event.
57. Buchanan allows inmates more access to iPods and or iPads.
59. Buchanan allows inmates outdoors to play ball without adequate guards or fence.
60. Buchanan allows a pre-trial inmate to be a trustee and allows him to work outside of the jail.
61. Buchanan still hasn't released his military records or any other records to back up his resume.
