Why are some NC county sheriffs raiding some video poker establishments and not others?

I'll only feel safer after they run in all the blue haired old ladies playing bingo at the VFW's

Doesn't it just make you just feel all warm and safe at night knowing that Barney put all those bad video poker establishments out of business, the towns are much safer now!

I think the leos know that busting the video poker providers is a fruitless endeavor. Shut em down and they continuously get more crafty and change ever so slightly the programming of the machines and open back up.
I'm with flash, license them and tax the piss out of them.

The lottery is nothing but a tax on stupidity.

My last understanding for the crack down was the lottery was down on sales. The lottery was claiming behind closed doors the poker machines were taking lottery money. I heard SC has cracked down also.

The state has said it would not enforce the law, if the local DA and LEO's wanted to, go for it.
Personal opinion, license and tax them and let them go for it.

I read where a sheriff in one NC county said he would not raid two towns video poker establishments because he was afraid of being sued but would raid other establishments within the county. Why are they still wasting resources on this?
