Why is a retired Johnny trooper given a special license plate?

Basking-Fins (now going by aFicIaNoS)and his boy toy underdog2, both are jealous that someone has something they can't have, and could never have earned the right to have. They both suffer from a severe case of penile envy.

You two would fit right in to that fraternity, with your egos and bs.

Good American citizens? Most are pricks with egos so big it barely fits in their cars

by-pass I did not tour AEV with the governor. Myself and a few others had a private meeting with him.

Its obvious as to the motive a retired johnny trooper has by putting this special plate on his vehicles. Its to tell other barneys dont mess with me or I will call your superiors. Given all they ever did for 30 years was ride around at 80mph on the tax payer dime and write tickets I would think the hose jockeys, rescues squads, paramedics, and teachers might be pissed given they actually did something for 30 years.

I don't see the real problem with this, but then again I see nothing wrong with folks having the Confederate Battle Flag on their plate if they want.

Might they be overlooked for an infraction whereas someone else would not, possibly, but really I'm not sure that's a big issue, probably also has to do with the infraction and how much it impacts other drivers. (Speeding 10 miles over the speed limit probably get a pass, driving drunk probably not).

If a retired trooper wants to display that on their vehicle, more power to them....

So what is the problem?

They are good American citizens and the State Troopers serve at the dignitary of the governor, I thought that you said you had meeting with Pat McCrory the other day that he visited AEV?

Make sure you tell him your disgusted with the tags next time you walk through with him.

Its disgusting that the state of NC is too stupid to admit that the retired troopers want the tags so they wont be bothered while on the road. Unless they run into Buford T Justice in another state it will work for them across state lines also.

I saw a retired rabbit sheriff with one that said retired law enforcement on it. And yes, that's exactly why they have them.

I saw this new tag on a car yesterday and came home and looked it up and the state will let them have a license plate with the highway patrol seal on it and the letters HP along with retired trooper and a special number. This plate tells working johnny troopers and barneys not to pull him over hes a retired trooper.
