Bear I would like to bring this up at a commissioners meeting but the sad fact is they have decide to have their meeting in the mourning's so that us working people can't attend unless we want to take off of work.

Dog, the suggestion of attending a meeting and offering a suggestion via the public comments part of the county commissioners meeting is certainly a suggestion for improvement. Not only do you have the attention of the commissioners, but your comments become known by other citizens and a part of the transcript. Other than that, you could call the county manager directly. Now, as far as gaining respect from posters on this site, I don't concern myself with that at all. I respect myself and your opinion of me means nothing. Dog, you occasionally offer a good point or two, but those few positives are overshadowed by your attempts to make yourself out as being much more than you are. It doesn't take much courage to be a big dog on the small porch that your community provides. Good day, my friend.

Below bear were you to contribute to the joint more often you would gain respect. Why you may even have some constructive posts. Now Bear just what good do you think it will do to speak during the public comment period. About as much as talking to one of the three idiots. I already offered a solution but by all means if you know of a better one lets hear it.

Actually, dog, I was referring to the county Environmental Services, but just got the wording incorrect. I guess you missed the use of the word, department. Wow, quick on the "below" thing today. Joe, maybe your next step should be showing up to a county commissioners meeting and voice your concerns for saving tax dollars during the open comments section of the meeting? I'm sure they would love to hear your constructive input.

Sounds like an email to the county manager is in order. I will contact Scott logan, the dog, and billy gurf to send emails to him and notify him that his action is needed to rectify the situation.

We should petition the mouth breathers to hire OCM to fix all these problems

I realize they want to be as accommodating as possible to the public and the inconvenience centers but if the action as proposed by JT were to be scheduled and the attendant given appropriate traffic control equipment such as cones etc, I'm pretty sure they could make it happen with little if any disruption. I agree and call BS on the response from the County.

Dog you are right that why I told him its no different than empting out any other dumpsters and watching out for the cars and people while doing that.

That would work but the problem is the only day it is closed is Sunday.

How bout they swap out the bin on a day the site is closed

Below bear waste management is not the contractor for the site, the county is.

Joesph thats the biggest load of BS answer I have heard. They can close one of the gates if necessary or get the site man to get off his *** and help the driver with traffic or they could pick a time when the site is not busy.

Well I just got done talking with the guy at environmental services who said and I quote" we have tried that in the past and its just to much trouble to change out the dumpster due to the traffic at the centers".

Have you called the Waste Management department and made that suggestion?

Fins used to ask people to list one thing they would change or do away with that would save the county money. Today I can make a suggestion and don't even have to look at the budget.

Today I went to a convenience center to drop of my trash and the recycling dumpster for the glass and paper was gone. They guy at the site said it was full and they had to come get it and take it to be empty which means the driver will have made 4 trips just to take care of this one dumpster. That's one trip to go get it one to take it to be emptied one back to the convenience center and one to back to wear ever for a total of 4.

If the county had just one extra dumpster this could have been cut to just two trips. That would be one to the convenience site with the extra empty one to drop off and one trip to go empty the full one. Once empty the driver could have just went to the next site. This would cut in half that is HALF the fuel, tires, wages, and wear and tear of the truck to empty this one dumpster. This would also allow for more sites to be taken care of in a day since it is now only taking half the time per site. Since it is only taking half the time that now leaves more time for maintenance on the truck which also leads to increased savings by preventing costly break downs. This would also let the driver take care of other things such as construction debris dumpster sooner
