Join us and share the fun for our 29th year!

Sharing our Mountain Heritage" The Ashe County Christmas Tree Festival, better known as the Christmas in July Festival, began promoting tourism in Ashe County, NC in 1987 by drawing thousands to downtown West Jefferson, NC each summer to celebrate the local Christmas Tree Industry. Since its beginning nearly 30 years ago, the Christmas in July Festival has undergone lots of changes, but has never lost its spirit! This year's Festival will feature the following:


More than 20 mouth-watering food 
vendors
100+ craft & non-profit vendors
Live country, bluegrass & old-time music
A community stage showcasing local talent
Civil War Re-Enactments
Farmer's Market
Roving street performers
Christmas Tree Grower's competitions
Children's activities
Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus
Ashe County Christmas Tree Grower's displays & demonstrations celebrating the local tree industry
