West Jefferson was officially chartered by the North Carolina General Assembly 100 years ago, on February 9th, 1915.

Join us to help celebrate the Town's 100th Birthday. There will be music, the premier showing of the video: West Jefferson's Centennial: A History of Our Town", unveiling of the softcover publication "West Jefferson at 100 Years".

The postmaster will be present to stamp documents with the single day pictorial postmark designed especially to commemorate the Centennial. Browse the art and photography exhibit featuring artwork that reflects West Jefferson and enjoy refreshments and a slice of birthday cake.
