Saved by Divine Exchange

In July 1936, Toni Kurz and three climbing partners battled the Eiger Mountain and lost. One was killed in an avalanche, one was swept off a cliff, and one was crushed against a wall. Kurz was left hanging from a ledge and died as a rescue team tried to reach him. None could be saved. Christ, on the other hand, was sent by the Father to save all who sought salvation from their sin. The Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthian church of the divine exchange that took place when Jesus went to the cross for us. He wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:21, "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." Paul says to Christ followers that your sin was taken by Jesus on the cross, and in exchange He gave you His righteousness. Nonbelievers can turn to Jesus and receive the same salvation now.
